Tees Archaeology is working with Professor Tony Pollard to investigate the medieval settlement of Eryholme, as part of our Community Archaeology project.
The project will comprise a workshop and two days of Geophysical Survey where local people and volunteers will work with professional archaeologists to survey the site. No previous experience is expected.
There are extensive medieval earthworks at Eryholme and this project will try to understand them better and link them to the documentary information that is available for the site.
Appropriate briefings and training will be provided.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
