At the beginning of April, The Dorman Museum held a workshop to recreate the famous Linthorpe Pottery pots. These were made using the moulds that were created at the earlier 'Feeling Crafty' workshop. We attended the session and got to make our very own piece! Although not as stunning as the original pieces, we definitely gave it a good go!
The workshop lasted all day, and certainly makes you appreciate the amount of skill and concentration it takes to make one of these pots. It showed the ability each worker of the Linthorpe Pottery possessed, who managed to make multiple pieces every day without compromising any of the quality.
If you would like to attend one of these workshops, keep an eye out on the Dorman Museum website for details.
